eek...sorry I thought i had gotten off a Sunday post.  As is becoming standard introduction, sorry for the delay.

I know, I AM neglecting the sight!  Sorry mashi  :(

I slept like a rock Saturday night. UAG, Bears game, and then a marathon Johnnyork recording session.  We only got one song done - the instrumentals sound awesome, but the vocals are maybe a little sketchy - I feel flat all over the place  Maybe I'm losing my chops. 

Yesterday we had a visitor and were in meetings all day.  Got nothing done.  Except stuff related to those meetings.  Last ECM was last night, and xmas party on Friday.  xmas dinner on Wednesday for LG.  Need to cook for that tonight.

Ok, so, here are links to our songs.  The first 4 are of the "old" recordings, and were done live.  As in, we all played at the same time.  The 5th one we did on Sunday, and spent a lot more time recording parts separately.  That's the one where I think I blew the vocals.  The 6th thing is a video from our show last week.  Hah just doing what mah peoples ask.  Now if you'll excuse me, I many leather-bound books to attend to.

Currently Listening One Way Ticket to Hell...And Back By The Darkness

Unngh I can't believe I'm up now.  I'm literally running on fumes.  Why?  Well...

I was up till 2AM on Wednesday b/c of our band's show, and had to get up the next morning around 7 to get some massive work done.  I was up till about 2AM on Thursday, working on the GK12 newsletter for our meeting today, along with trying to figure out some code someone else wrote.  Got up at 6AM on Friday to get ready to drive to Chicago.  Got to Chicago, planned my lesson, and taught my lesson (didn't go all that well...).  Drove back, got in around 6:00PM, ran home to change, and went straight to CFC SG.  After that, straight to the lock-in, then to UAG at 1AM, then back to the lockin at 2, then home at 4AM.  Slept till 6AM, got up and fried an egg, and now I'm here, about to leave for the all-day (8-2:30) GK12 meeting.  I also have another meeting at 3:30.

The newsletter wasn't finished.  Hrumph.

I was supposed to do some things "out" tonight, but this is official notice that I'm ditching you all, shutting my phone off at 4:30, and going to sleep.  Hopefully I don't sleep the whole night through, and I'm able to get up and get some work done.  I'll have to bring my work computer home, since my Lappy lays in stasis, absent of its AC Adaptor.  See my last post to see if you can help me out with that.

I'm bringing some friends to UAG tomorrow.  Meeting Johnnyork at Fat City for the Bear's game after, then off to band practice whenever the game is done.

Oh!  I think my Prelim date has finally been set for Jan5, 2006.  I'll have to miss WinterOil, but...what can I do?

Ok i did the dumbest thing, and I need your help.  I left my power adapter for my laptop at the school I teach at in Chicago.  I don't know when I'll be able to get it back except next Friday, which is an entire week away.

Does anyone have a Toshiba Satellite ?  It might possibly have to be a newer one...that's what I've got, and there's a sandwich in it for you if I can come by sometime and get a booster charge or, better yet, borrow the adapter if it's unused (like from an old laptop).

C-note, your ladyfriend has a Satellite right?  Any chance you could bring her adaptor to practice on Sunday?

Does anyone know offhand if there are other adaptors that will work with a Toshiba Satellite?  It's kind of a big socket...and it's round, not square like Dell's.  It's fatter than Gateway, though.

Ahh well.  I'm transferring stuff off of here for now, in cast I can't use it till next week.  Hrumph

Sorry I didn't update.  I've been swamped.  I'm leaving for chicago in a few minutes.  Yeah, I stayed in Champaign for the night and am driving up now.  I wanted to get some things done here, namely the GK12 newsletter, which I'm hoping will be done by tomorrow.

Tonight's going to be crazy-busy.  CFC LG, UAG 1AM slot, then some kind of lockin.  I've got an allday meeting starting at 8 tomorrow, and then, hopefully, I'll get some time to crash.

Nguyen is a Vietnamese Australian convicted of drug trafficking in Singapore. His crime carries a mandatory death sentence under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Despite pleas of clemency from the Australian government and others he faces execution by hanging on the 2nd December 2005.

Once upon a time, I was on the fence about the death penalty.  But now...every Democrat bone in my body says it's wrong.  I do not support it - it's neither a deterrent nor a real provider of closure.  No one benefits, not even society.

Sorry about updating again.  Man I'm getting so bad at this.  I never thought I'd see the day where I'm consistently missing posting-days.  Argh.

So johnnyork has been working hard preparing for tonight.  that's right!  Canopy Club, doors open at 9:00.  $5 at the door.  Both DJ's posse and the UAG SG posse say they're coming, along with LR from Perdue, Jbomb and the Batcave, and a whole host of ChemE peoples.  So, we'll see how all this goes.

A few days ago, me and the diamond put up a bunch of fliers - it's nice to see that some of them are still up.  The Canopy got our name wrong - "Johnny York."  Arrrgh.  Haha, they also got the headliner's name wrong too.

Last night we moved into our new practice space.  It's a garage out on a farm like 15 miles outside Champaign.  It's in the middle of nowhere, but totally rules.  It's one of the Meister's friend's, and it used to belong to his dad.  It's heated, has a bathroom, and plenty of space.  And a bunch of crazy old garage-knicknacks. 

Hmm what else?  Been working on validation of the codes as usual.  ECM was good on monday.  Missing SG tonight b/c we have to be at the Canpoy at 6PM even though the show doesn't even start till 9.  Ah well. 

Had lunch w/ Char yesterday - tried the new noodle place.  it was pretty good.  Had dinner w/ LR from Perdue - hit up Woori Jib.  Booya.  Then got bubble tea.  Booya.  Then showed up 10 minutes late to band practice.  Booya.

Whoa it's been forever since I've updated.  Probably, like, the longest gap ever!  Sorry about that guys.  It's been a busy week.  I'll give a quick update, but then I have to get going.

Thanksgiving was good.  Hung out w/ some UAG peoples.  Ate a bunch.  B came into town so we went out later that night.  He stayed at the castle till Saturday.  Then, an hour after he left. Daltoman (the greatest man who ever lived) came into town.  We went out and ate way too much, tried to kick it into "high gear," failed, and came home tired and defeated.  This morning we went to breakfast.  He left about an hour ago.

Band practice at 2.  I'm supposed to meet the Meister at Fat City beforehand, but I feel really crappy.  Too much overeating and not enough sleep argh.

Gotta get some work done too.  and practice for the next three days, and then our first show at the Canopy.  This Wednesday.  $2 at the door.  We're on around 11.  Come see us crash-n-burn.  wooohoo!

Ok time for a proper update. Of sorts.

Johnnyork site seems to be getting positive responses and good hits for its first day.  although crazy-h thinks it's too orderly.  humbug!

i worked from home yesterday morning and got some more plots done.  had to go in for a GK12 meeting, and then did a Flash tutorial with someone later in the afternoon.

Discovered this really cool online Flash game called Docus - it's like FF3, but online-multiplayer.  this is the first time I've ever played around with an online multiplayer thing.  Anyway it's free, and it's totally done in Flash - amazing.

Working from home today as well.  Eventually i need to go shopping for a dish I'm making for tomorrow.  I'm going to the Green's for lunch/dinner tomorrow.  They're a family that a friend of mine lives with, and they've invited everyone left over in Champaign to their place.  I guess you could call us...remnants.  haha.

The house is a mess.  B/c we didn't do the Podcast yesterday, i had no motivation to clean.  Bad times.

I got nothing else for ya.  Maybe more later. 

Sorry this update kinda sucked.  At least I waited till the end to tell you so that you can't have your time back, unlike KP who warns you in advance.  hehe.

Working from home this morning, getting together some KMC validation plots.  And listening to music.  And pushing my new Lappy as hard as I can with SSH windows, Matlab sims, Winamp, and AllofMP3 media explorer all running at once.  It's taken on a pleasant...warmth.   but I think it's doing ok.
