My iPod died
The hard drive crapped out - it just clicks and grinds, like so many other dead hard drives. I popped the pod open and took it out, and have bid on a new on on eBay...$15.00 so far. I'm not sure how much more I'm willing to go for a used 20GB hard drive.
As much as I've written about simplifying and de-technification, my iPod really was a big deal to me! I had so much music on there...aiya. Luckily everything is backed up, but it'll take me forever to get everything back on there. More than any of the other toys I've been looking at (game consoles, new camera, HDTV) this is probably the thing I most need to replace.
If I lose this bid, I might buy a whole new iPod. 60GB video. all the way. But i have no money. So...I'll have to figure something out. I may look at some other players too, or some other devices that might make a better substitute. Any ideas? Buy an Origami? hehe...even an iPod is cheaper than that.
Anyway, sad times. By He giveth and He taketh away, I guess

Doing some much-needed yardwork and then heading into the Hubalub. Later, tracking down Ms. Poultry to hang out.
Ciao

RIP georgio.
May you find solace in your hard times.
I suspect foul play. My prime suspect is this guy:
